One Room and Area 44 are a vibrant community of changemakers, creatives, and futurists dedicated to making a significant impact in Barking and Dagenham. Our mission is to rediscover the magic of bringing people together through collaboration, creativity, and music.

We offer studio spaces, facilitate workshops, and produce events, creating job opportunities within the arts and creative industry in Barking and Dagenham, across London, and internationally.

The initiation of our new studios were made possible by BD Giving through the GROW Fund, which focuses on social impact beyond financial return. Developed by a community steering group with funds from the council, the GROW Fund supports local entrepreneurs dedicated to sustainable, community-focused businesses.
